On Friday the 2nd of September 2022, the psychological thriller RITUAL premiered at Kinepolis Antwerp in the presence of the cast and crew. The film can be seen in Belgium cinemas from the 7th of September.
During the Film by the Sea festival, the Dutch public can also watch the film. Ritual will be screened on September 12, 14, 15, 17 and 18 in CineCity Vlissingen. At the screening on Monday, September 12, director Hans Herbots, producer Peter Bouckaert and part of the cast, including actor Geert van Rampelberg, will be present for a Q&A.

Ritual is based on Mo Hayder’s novel of the same name. The film is the sequel to The Treatment from 2014, also directed by Herbots, in which detective Nick Cafmeyer, played by Geert Van Rampelberg, previously appeared. Both screenplays were written by Carl Joos, known for, among others, The Alzheimer Case and The Broken Circle Breakdown.
