De 58-jarige Brusselse Khadija reist per metro naar huis, waarop ze na een lange werkdag in slaap valt. Wanneer ze pas aan de eindhalte ontwaakt, kan ze niet anders dan haar weg naar huis te voet verder te zetten. Gedurende haar wandeling komt ze in contact met andere inwoners aan wie ze hulp vraagt en verleent.
