BEFORE THE FLOOD is a ‘future documentary’ partly situated in the Netherlands in the year 2070 when most of our country has been flooded. The film moves between realism and drama, history and the future, science and belief, Dutch film history and specials effects. With amongst others Dutch actor Pierre Bokma, Historian Geert Mak and fragments from films from Bert Haanstra and Joris Ivens.
