South-African film Drummies receives NFF support

The South African-Dutch co-production Drummies, a youth film by the South African writer/director Hanneke Schutte, has received a contribution from the Netherlands Film Fund. The film is produced by The Film Factory (ZA) in co-production with Goldman Film and Phanta Film. Distributor Vedette is expected to release the film in theaters in the Netherlands in the spring of 2024. Sales agent Level K will take care of the sales of the film.

Drummies tells a story about a beleaguered Drummie squad in a small mining town that has set their sights on the National Championships, however their anxious lead baton twirler will have to face her crippling self-doubt or risk the future of the entire team.
