Writer/director Finn Szumlas’ debut feature film STAIRWAY TO EARTH has received development support from the Netherlands Film Fund. STAIRWAY TO EARTH will be developed as an international coproduction. The film tells the story of Luiza, a young Polish woman, who is unable to break off her unwanted pregnancy at home, and travels to Holland for an abortion. She stays with the unsuspecting, would-be father, Jan, but is unable to entrust him with the real reason for her visit. Finn will begin writing the screenplay at the end of summer.
